1: The Hegelian Dialectic
Hegelian Dialectic is the mechanism that turns black or white into grey; it is a form of reasoning that finds a middle ground between the truth and a compromise of that truth. Each time the Dialectic is used on a topic it further blurs, or greys, the area between what was established as true and the new agenda which is the ultimate 'end game'.
Established fact or truth > Compromise > New version of the established fact or Truth (half truth) > Process repeats > Newer version of the original established fact or truth; resulting in a half truth or 'white lie'.
We have been STEERED in a PREDETERMINED direction!! We only believe that we are solving a problem logically, to the greater benefit of society.
... Please bear in mind, half truths are still lies; we just find it easier to rationalize them.
"When a person does something of which the moral super ego disapproves, then the ego seeks to defend itself by adding reasons that make the action acceptable to the super ego. Thus we are able to do something that is outside our values and get away with it without feeling too guilty.
When we rationalize our thoughts and inner systems, we may do this through other systems. Hence we may say our belief in capital punishment is because murders 'deserve what they give'.
Rationalization is related to our need to explain what happens and to maintain consistency between and amongst actions and thoughts. Our need for esteem also leads us to rationalize to others.
Rationalization happens with bullies and victims. The bully rationalizes what they have done by saying that their victim 'deserved it'. Sometimes the victims think this too.
Self-Serving Bias uses rationalization when it leads to taking more credit for success than we deserve and blame others for our failures.
Rationalization is one of Anna Freud's original defense mechanisms".

Origin: Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831) was a 19th century German philosopher and theologist who wrote The Science of Logic in 1812.
In 1847 the London Communist League (Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels) used Hegel's theory of the dialectic to back up their economic theory of communism. Now, in the 21st century, Hegelian-Marxist thinking affects our entire social and political structure.
The Hegelian dialectical formula: A (thesis) versus B ( anti-thesis) equals C (synthesis) or consensus.
THESIS ------------ ANTI-THESIS

Example: educational consensus: 2 + 2 = 5 (if we agree that it is so).

The expressions consensus of opinion, although objected to by some, is now generally accepted as in good use. Websters 1934.
"The Hegelian dialectic is the framework for guiding our thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead us to a predetermined solution. If we do not understand how the Hegelian dialectic shapes our perceptions of the world, then we do not know how we are helping to implement the vision for the future. ...Hegelian conflicts steer every political arena on the planet, from the United Nations to the major American political parties, all the way down to local school boards and community councils. Dialogues and consensus-building are primary tools of the dialectic, and terror and intimidation are also acceptable formats for obtaining the goal". Niki F. Raapana and Nordica M. Friedrich.

Thought: How did we arrive at the level of taxation we are now at,and how do we justify it if not for the Hegelian Dialectic?
